About Me
| Wrestling- I've been wrestling for five years so far. I am an 8th grade junior high wrestler at the General Mclane school district. My best position is neutral. My favorite takedown is the basic double leg takedown. I try to practice perfect technique. I believe the philosophy that it is better to know 3 or 4 good takedowns, and drill them over and over again; than it is to know every move "in the book". My first two years of wrestling, I mostly just went to novice tournaments and didn't do too bad. My third, fourth, and fifth year I wrestled freestyle during the spring and went to some freestyle tournaments. My third year was also my first year of J.O.'s. I didn't think I would make it past even Sub-Area's my first year, but sure enough I took third place at Sub-Area's which barely qualified me for Area's. I took fourth place at Area's. The next year, I took 2nd place at Sub-Area's. I came very close to taking first. I took fourth again at Area's that season. Last year, I didn't even make it past Sub-Area's because I was in a very hard weight class. My cousin qualified for States though barely by having to wrestle for True Second in Area's. He didn't win any matches at States, but that's half the battle anyway is making it there. Every match there, is like an Area's final match. After the day I lost Sub-Area's, I was back up in the wrestling room practicing with varsity ready for next year. I made it a goal, that I wanted to qualify for Areas, States, and place at States. I have a written plan too, and some day I hope to be a State Champion. |
Cross Country- This year was my first year of cross country. Someone talked me into it, said I might be good because I am so long legged. So I gave it a shot. I enjoyed the season and did well for my first time out. By the end of the year, I was the fifth best runner on the junior high team out of about 15. I also competed in the E.C.L.'s. |
Hunting- This is my third year of hunting. I have shot a deer every year so far. I shot a doe my first year with a bow. The second and third year I shot two small does with a 270 rifle. I still have not harvested my first buck yet, but am looking forward to it when the time comes. |
Computers- I enjoy using computers very much. I am online almost every day. I like to chat in chat rooms, download mp3's, watch web cams, play games, buy things off of Ebay, and read about stuff on the internet. I have chat programs like Icq and aol instant messenger. Some day, I hope to take a course in the computer field and hopefully have a good career with something to do with computers. |
Hobbies- I enjoy wrestling, hunting, and cross country a lot as you already know. I like watching movies, playing videogames, listening to music, and going to parties. Some of my favorite movies include: "Best of The Best", "Life is Beautiful", "Rocky(the whole series)", "Vision Quest", "The Matrix", "Hackers", and "October Sky". My favorite bands are "Limp Bizkit", "Nine Inch Nails", "Papa Roach", "UltraSpank", "SemiSonic", and "The Doors". |
